The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says it is shocked its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar is disfavoured by a Supreme Court ruling given on Wednesday.
Atiku had petitioned the court, seeking to upturn President Muhammadu Buhari’s electoral victory.
Reacting to the ruling, the opposition party said “… Atiku Abubakar won the Presidential election” and that it is “surprised that the justices of the Supreme Court held otherwise”.
The opposition party said it believed it presented a “solid case” on the presidential election dispute.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court while given the verdict promised to state its reasons at a latter date.
