Ayetoro Monarch: 2023, Year Of Reckoning For Ineffective NASS Members

By Bolaji Nurudeen

Following up his call for the scrapping of the Senate, the Onibudo of Ayetoro-Budo in Ogun state, Oba Adewumi Odutala has accused National Assembly members from his state for abandoning the people but focussing on their personal aggrandizement.

Odutala also declared that such NASS members would face the wrath of the masses in 2023 election.

He made the statement during a praise night at his Palace In Ayetoro-Budo, tagged ‘Festival of Praise.’

He said it was unfortunate that the elected public officials, especially those at the National Assembly would turn their backs at the people’s plight after winning the election.

In his words, he said; “Mark my words, 2023 will be the year of reckoning for those we elected to represent us, especially those in Abuja that are now turning against the wishes and aspirations of the people.

“They are coming up with draconian laws that will stifle the people, instead of ameliorating their suffering.”

Present at the event were: the Olu of Sunre Olorunsogo, Oba Samuel Sodimu; the Olu of Erunbe, Oba Abdullahi Raheem; the Olu of Ipebi Ijebu Mushin, Oba Tanimowo Folarin and the Olu of Makogi, Oba Babatunde Sonola amongst others.

Meanwhile, the Overseer of Perfection Bible Church International, Apostle David Ayeni, has urged the traditional rulers present at the occasion to see their role as a ‘calling’ and try as much as possible to improve their community for the total wellbeing of their subjects.

Ayeni, however, admonished the Obas to focus totally on God and do away with idols worshipping in their domains.
Ayeni who blessed the worshippers, urged them to be more steadfast in order to fulfill their destinies.
