Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, might not be joining La Liga giants Barcelona any time soon following reports about a change in the Blaugrana’s transfer policy heading into the busy January transfer window.
The Nigerian has been a hit ever since completing a €15m switch from Sporting Charleroi this season.
Osimhen’s 13 goals in all competitions and all-round performance for the Lille based outfit in the Champions League has ignited interests in his services from Europe’s heavyweights, with reports linking the La Liga champions, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs to him.
But, according to Spanish football site,
Marca, Osimhen’s chances of joining the Blaugrana looks slim as Camp Nou directors have reportedly ruled out reinforcements next month.
The Nigeria international was reportedly identified as one of the candidates to replace the ageing Uruguay forward Luis Suarez.
However, Barcelona are not planning to strengthen the squad next month due to the fact that they have spent heavily in the summer of 2019, paying close to €200m for the services of Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong.
