The Lagos State House of Assembly has banned all committee meetings and assignments for one week, The Gazelle News.com can report.
Also banned by the management of the Assembly is visits to the Assembly complex.
The Gazelle News.com reports that this is the first official reaction to the sudden death of the Assembly’s Chairman of Committee on Information, Strategy and Security, Honourable Taofeek Olatunde Braimah, who until the early hours of Friday, 10 July, 2020 when he breathed his last, was representing Kosofe State Constituency 2 in the Assembly.
According to a short statement by the Clerk of the House, Azeez Sanni, the ban would run from Monday, 13 July, 2020 to Sunday, 19 July, 2020.

ALL COMMITTEE MEETINGS, ASSIGNMENTS AND VISITS TO LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY IS HEREBY SUSPENDED FROM MONDAY, JULY 13TH TO SUNDAY, JULY 19TH, 2020.
WORK RESUMES MONDAY, JULY 20TH, 2020.
