A commissioner in the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), Alhaji Lateef Raji is dead.
Thegazellenews.com can confirmed that the late LASIEC member died at about 4am on Monday, August 14, 2017 at his Magbodo home in Lagos. He was said to be about 54 years old.
Thegazellenews.com can also revealed that the late politician has not fully recovered from injuries he sustained in an armed robbery attack few years ago at his Oshodi home while serving as the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to former Lagos Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN. He was also reported to be battling with cancer until his death.
Thegazellenews.com can also confirmed that he returned from one of his several medical trips abroad just few weeks ago.
Before serving Fashola as a Special Adviser, Lateef Raji was the Secretary of the then Action Congress (AC) in Lagos State.
Thegazellenews.com learnt from a family source that his corpse will be taken to his hometown, Ido Ani in Ondo State for burial on Monday, August 14, 2017 in accordance with Islamic rites.
