Chibok Girls: Jide Jimoh Blasts FG; Condemns Tom Ikimi On Allegation Against Tinubu

The Chairman of Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, Hon. Jide Jimoh has disclosed that nobody in Nigeria is safe with the abduction of Chibok girls who have been held in captive by the Boko Haram insurgents for over 145 days.

The Chairman who felt sad with the situation disclosed this to journalists over the weekend that the ruling party must wake up to its responsibility by bringing the girls back.

According to him, “If over 200 girls are kidnapped in Nigeria for over 145 days without rescue, it means nobody is safe and it is an indictment on the part of the ruling party. It is also a failure on their part and they need to re-strategize and put structure in place.

“Security in this country is not too good and we must ensure that lives of the citizens are safe. My advice to the ruling party is to put adequate strategy in place and they must not rely on external forces to help them”.
The Yaba LCDA Chairman also advised the Federal Government to embark on empowerment and put in place regular power supply.

“Do you know how much we are spending on diesel every month while the economy situation continues to deteriorate,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jimoh condemned the statement of Tom Ikimi who said the All Progressives Party (APC) is Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s property.

“I want to say that the people who are saying this are lazy and there is no way human beings can impose; it is only God that imposes. There is nobody that can usurp the duty of God. We don’t impose in APC and the party has approved primaries and delegate election. How do you think that imposition will be possible? Because we are going for modify and direct primaries.

“Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a human being and he is a man of integrity and manager of men, a man of agility that have courage to fight any course. If somebody like Ikimi, a man of 70 years old can say such statement because he did not win the national chairmanship of the party and start complaining about Tinubu then there is something wrong”, he added.
