Samuel Chukwueze has admitted that he won’t prevent an exit from Villarreal next summer Sports Extra reports.
Chukwueze,20, who has three years left on his Villarreal contract, cast doubts over his future in a chat with Sports Extra by revealing his desire to play in the English Premier League, with Liverpool leading the race for his signature.
Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid have been linked with summer moves for the highly-rated winger.
“I’m not ruling out the fact that something like that could come up when we sit down at the end of the season as it would be wrong to do that now,” the former Diamond Academy player told only Sports Extra.
“The point is that no offer has been made but there’s interest from Liverpool, so we would rather hope that we got those offers. But I’m realistic and it would be a club issue and not me as I want to focus on football.”
Chukwueze has scored twice and provided three assists in 12 La Liga games for Villarreal this season.
He was also on target for the Super Eagles in Sunday’s 4-2 win over Lesotho in Maseru in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
