Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has called on all residents and people of the state to join hands with his administration to move the state forward.
Governor Bello spoke while reacting to his victory at the Supreme Court where the learned judges of the Apex Court validated his election.
"This victory will now give us time to focus on putting in place programmes and measures to meet our mandate with the people," he said.
The Niger State Governor reiterated that the present administration operates an all inclusive government which allows everyone to make contributions towards the development of Niger State.
"I want to therfore seize this opportunity to call on everyone to join hands with this administration in its efforts at moving the state forward, irrespective of our party differences or political ideologies," the Governor said.
Governor Sani Bello further called on the people of the state to continue to support the government and maintain peace adding that no rancour was expected as the judgement reflects the aspirations of the people of the state.
He commended the judiciary for exhibiting the expected fairness and restoring the hope of Nigerlites and Nigerians at large in the justice system
Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court in a unanimous judgement had ruled in favour of Abubakar Sani Bello as the duly elected Governor of Niger State, striking out the petition of Umar Nasko of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who challenged earlier ruling of the Court of Appeal which had earlier validated the victory of Sani Belo.
