The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye has urged quality assurance officers in the state to be part of the revolution taking place in the state government’s drive to ensure delivery of quality education in the state.
Oladunjoye who gave the charge in Lagos, Wednesday, 11th March, 2015, at an interactive session of the new Director General of the newly created Quality Assurance Office, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo with Directors of Quality Assurance in the state, urged them to cooperate with her as she is going to take quality assurance in the state to the next level.
The Commissioner, who welcomed the new Director-General on board, stressed that she is not only richly experienced to discharge her duties but has a lot to offer as she begins a new movement in quality assurance in the education sector.
Mrs. Oladunjoye commended the Directors of Quality Assurance in the state for a job well done adding that they should avail the DG the opportunity of the experience they have gathered over the years noting that their names would be written in gold when history is being written.
Earlier, the Director General, Quality Assurance Office, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo thanked the state government for the opportunity given her to contribute her quota to the development of the education sector in Lagos State.
She promised to get the schools back on track and bridge the gap between children in public and private schools stressing that it is high time African got its bearing right as its cannot afford to be left behind in the scheme of things.
Mrs. Soyombo expressed satisfaction with the reports she had heard about the activities and efforts of the Directors particularly in some very challenging and difficult circumstances adding they should be proud of the impact they are making in the lives of students.
