Indigenes of Igogo Ekiti in Moba Local Government Area and Ipoti Ekiti
in Ijero Local Government Areas of Ekiti State have joined other communities in the state to express solidarity and support for the administration of Governor Ayo Fayose.

The communities reaffirmed their loyalty and commitment to the administration in Ado-Ekiti during separate courtesy visits of their representatives to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Information and Civic Orientation, Hon Lanre Ogunsuyi in his office.

The Olupoti of Ipoti-Ekiti, Oba James Oladapo Kolade and a member of the Olugogo in Council, Edemorun of Igogo, Chief Micheal Dada, who led delegations from their respective communities, explained that the
visits were in appreciation to the Governor in recognition of his achievements in the state during his first term in office as well as to express support for his efforts at developing the state since his inauguration a few weeks ago.

The leaders also expressed gratitude to the governor for selecting their son, Hon Lanre Ogunsuyi as a Special Assistant to the Governor noting that Ogunsuyi hails from Igogo-Ekiti and his mother is from Ipoti-Ekiti.

In his remarks, Ogunsuyi stressed the need for the people of the state to continue to cooperate with government, saying that constructive advice and criticisms were welcomed as the administration strives to deliver the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the masses in the state.

Reiterating the resolve of the administration to run a transparent government and operate an open door policy as well as ensure that the people are properly informed of government’s programmes and activities, the Governor’s aide appealed for patience and understanding of the people, stressing the need to continually support the government to achieve its goals.

He noted that contrary to what he described as spurious claims of members of the recently defeated political party, the election that ushered in Governor Ayodele Fayose was not only free, fair and transparent, it was also a collective will of the people and sanctioned by God almighty.
