In a bid to boost agricultural production in Lagos State, the executive members of the state chapter of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale.
The essence of the visit was to discuss the harmonization plan of all the sub-division associations within the apex association, and also to sensitize the farmers in the local government, with a view to boosting the agricultural produce in the local government.
Mr. Osifeso Sunday, Public Relations Officer of the association noted that “there is urgent need to revive the agricultural produce in each local government”.
Responding, Comrade Adewale thanked them for the visit, emphasizing that he would discuss with foreign investors, especially the United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI) to come and invest in agriculture through their platform.
The local government boss also stated that he would give the association the necessary support to enhance food sustainability in the local government.
