Secretariat of the ongoing National Conference on Wednesday, 23rd April, 2014, confirmed receipt of a delegate, Olisa Agbakoba’s letter indicating his intention to reject any form of remuneration or financial benefit as a delegate in the conference.
The conference’s acknowledgement letter was dated April 8, 2014 and signed by its secretary, Mrs. Valerie-Janette Azinge.
Thegazellenews.com obtained a copy of the acknowledgment letter on Wednesday, 23rd April, 2014.
In the letter, titled, “Re: Acceptance of nomination as delegate to the National Conference,” the Conference Secretariat noted that it would treat Agbakoba’s decision accordingly.
The letter reads in part, “I write to extend the compliments of the Chairman of the National Conference and to acknowledge the receipt of your letter to Secretary to the Government of the Federation, dated March 18, 2014, a copy of which was received by the Chairman of the National Conference on the above subject matter.
“I am to also inform you that your decision not to accept any form of remuneration /financial benefits as a delegate to the National Conference has been noted and will be treated accordingly. However, you are advised to fill the Delegates Registration Form to enable the Secretariat have your detailed information for record purposes.”
Another delegate who had also indicated his intention to reject remuneration for his participation at the conference is Pastor Tunde Bakare.
