The candidate of the APC in the upcoming Edo gubernatorial elections, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has stated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Godwin Obaseki will lose at the polls.
Ize-Iyamu stated this on Wednesday stressing that the PDP will lose since it fielded “the man it had roundly condemned as a non-achiever”.
He stated this in a statement issued by his campaign spokesperson; John Mayaki and Ize-Iyamu derided the PDP for singing Godwin Obaseki’s praise, claiming he is the almighty, the saint, after parading him as a failure who deceived the courts and INEC with counterfeit credentials”.
He further stated that the PDP was using an “opponents’ negative publicity to show its lack of content, vision, ideas, and as a shield for the internal wrangling ongoing in the party”.
Ize-Iyamu lambasted the PDP for hailing the programmes and policies of Obaseki when a few months ago, the same party had criticized the same Obaseki for taking the state on a retrogressive ride.
He further berated the PDP for bringing out Aliko Dangote “from his trademark political non-alignment and characteristic silence”.
