Ekiti Update: INEC On Time As Accreditation Begins With Impressive Turn-out Amidst Heavy Security

The process to elect governor for Ekiti State began on a peaceful not this morning with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived various polling booths in the state capital, Ado Ekiti promptly.

There was heavy security presence at the polling centres with a minimum of four security operatives attached to each polling booth.

As at 8am, accreditation has begun at polling unit 002, Mango Area/GRA in Ado Ekiti. Similarly, other polling units visited by thegazellenews.com witnessed early accreditation with heavy presence of security operatives.

There have been impressive turn out of voters who defied the heavy presence of security operatives to exercise their civic rights. Long queues of voters were noticed at all the polling units visited.
