The peaceful #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate and Alausa in Lagos State are presently being shot at by the forces deployed by the allegedly by the state government to disperse their gathering who came with armoured tanks among other artillery.
However, the state government has said it would investigate the alleged killings at Lekki Toll Gate warning security agents not to arrest any resident on account of the curfew it earlier imposed on the state.
Recall that the state government earlier on Tuesday, 20 October, 2020 declared a 24 hour curfew to deter the hijacking of the peaceful protest against police brutality in the country by some sponsored hoodlums.
The curfew, which was supposed to kick start at 4pm was later pushed to 9 pm. So, it leaves people wondering the need for the violent attacks on unarmed peaceful protesters by the forces allegedly deplored by the state government.
It is not clear how many are injured. But reports from the video streamed live from the protest ground via Instagram indicated that there are four dead bodies at the moment.
Meanwhile, reports from eye witness stated that the soldiers attempted snatching some corpses possibly to destroy evidence.
Earlier, some government workers had allegedly removed the CCTV at the toll gate.
