The embattled Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Julius Oloro, has another problem to battle with.
Thegazellenews.com can report authoritatively that the council boss faces a two month suspension from the party if the state Executive Council will upheld the recommendation of the disciplinary committee it set up to look into the circumstances surrounding the physical assault on the party’s Vice Chairman for the Lagos West Senatorial District, Chief Funsho Ologunde by Oloro’s loyalists at the party’s state secretariat, ACME Road, Ikeja.
Thegazellenews.com had exclusively how some party members loyal to Oloro led by one Hakeem Egbo, physically assaulted Ologunde and Personal Assistant to the state Women Leader of the party, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson.
Irked by the development, the executive council ordered a probe into the incident. It set up a disciplinary committee headed by the Vice Chairman for Lagos Central Senatorial District, Fouad Oki.
Members of the Oki committee have met with all personalities involved in the incident which led to the indictment of Oloro in the matter.
Thus, the committee recommended a two month suspension for the council boss while Egbo and his ilks are to be suspended for three months. The recommendations are however, subject to the approval of the state executive council.
On the home front, Oloro is battling with impeachment fear as councillors of the council have given him seven days to explain fully how the money coming into the council’s cover is being spent since his assumption of office. The ultimatum expires on Monday, 21st July, 2014.
