The race for various elective offices in the coming 2015 general election is getting fierce by the day as more aspirants for various elective offices continue to emerge.
The latest aspirant, thegazellenews.com‘s investigation has revealed is former Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Cooperatives, Chief Enock Kolapomoye Olorunfunwa (EKO) Ajiboso, who this medium learnt exclusively that he is eyeing the Lagos West Senatorial District seat in the Upper Legislative chamber.
Thegazellenews.com further learnt that Ajiboso, also a former two time Chairman of Agege Local Government, has begun consultations with members of his immediate environment and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government and other local governments that make up arguably the largest senatorial district in the country.
Our findings revealed that former council boss is set to inform the local chapter of the party of his decision to run at a meeting of the party which will come up very soon.
The current occupier of the seat is Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, who has indicated his intention not to return to the Upper Legislative Chamber but instead run for the governorship seat of the state.
Ajiboso could not be reached on phone but one of his aides named Femi, confirmed to thegazellenews.com that indeed his boss is eyeing the Senate seat.
“Yes, he is running for a seat in the Senate to represent the Lagos West Senatorial District but that is all I can tell you for now. We will get in touch with the media officially very soon,” he said.
