Exclusive! Impeachment Fever Grips Ojodu LCDA Boss, Oloro As Councillors Give Him 7 Days To Explain Council’s Spending/Revenue

For the Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Julius Oloro, these are not definitely the best of times as he battles two major political crises which are currently threatening his second term bid.

Not too long ago, thugs allegedly on his biddings, stormed the ACME Road secretariat of the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and physically assaulted the Vice Chairman of the party for the Lagos West Senatorial District, Chief Funsho Ologunde. Not only that, the personal assisant to the state Women Leader of the party, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson, was also assaulted.

Already, the party has set up a disciplinary committee on the matter and the committee headed by the Vice Chairman of the party for the Lagos Central Senatorial District, Fouad Oki, is about submitting its report.

As if that was not enough, councillors of Ojodu LCDA have slammed a seven day ultimatum on the embattled council boss to explain the revenue and expenditure account of the council since he assumed office about three years ago.

There have been several allegations of financial recklessness leveled against the council, one of which was the fact within his first three months in office, he bought a house, demolished it and erected a mansion to replace the demolished one.

The councillors at their sitting on Tuesday, 15th July, 2014, gave the council boss seven days to explain in details, the expenditure and revenue profile of the council.

The fear gripping the camp of the embattled council boss now is the fact that the councillors may move for his impeachment if his explanation does not satisfy them.

The ultimatum expires on Monday, 21st July, 2014 and the world is waiting for what the councillors will do next.

Efforts to reach Oloro failed as his phone was not going when we called for his reaction to the latest development.
