Lagos lawmakers are still searching for who will lead them in the incoming 8th Assembly and as from today, Sunday, 24th May, 2015, when the lawmakers shift the battle to the Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac Town where they are expected to converge for the next week for an induction course.
Having failed twice to pick a consensus candidate among them, the returning lawmakers head to Golden Tulip to take a final decision on who to support among the following: Lanre Oshun, Lanre Ogunyemi, Rotimi Abiru, Princess Adefunmilayo Tejuoso, Mudasiru Obasa and Dayo Saka Fafunmi.
The meeting to pick a consensus candidate has been deadlocked twice. One was held on Tuesday but there was no headway. The meeting continued on Thursday, 21st May, 2015 but was only succeeded in reducing the number of aspirants.
Thus,three aspirants: Sanai Agunbiade, Gbolahan Yisawu and Kazeem Alimi, all stepped down on Thursday, 21st May, 2015.
The other aspirants vowed to continue with their aspiration hence the decision to push further meetings on the matter to the Golden Tulip Hotel where they will converge for their induction course.
