The younger brother of Seye Ogunlewe, ex-Minister of Works, Segun, has confirmed his intention to run for the governorship seat of Lagos State in 2015.
Segun Ogunlewe, who is also the immediate past Head of Service in the Centre of Excellence State is aspiring to run on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Reports reaching thegazellenews.com indicated that having gone round on wide consultation, the ex-HOS will soon make his ambition public.
When asked during the week of the veracity of his governorship ambition, Ogunlewe confirmed it. “The Ikorodu people who have not produced any elected governor in the state invited me to run and I have the support of the people of the Ikorodu division,” he confirmed to the friend.
In recent time, the Ikorodu division has been agitating for the governorship seat of the state saying it is the only division that has not produced elected governor in the state.
Segun’s elder brother, Seye, tried in vain in the past to become the governor of the state.
