Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Ayodele Fayose has said that his administration is ready to partner willing individuals and organizations towards bringing an end to water challenges in the state.
Speaking at the Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort while declaring open a 3-day Water-Tech International Workshop and Exhibition organized by the Association of Waterwell Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP), Dr. Fayose stressed the commitment of his administration to making potable water available in every household.
The Governor who spoke through his wife, Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose noted that the general well-being of the people of the state remained of paramount importance to him adding that making provision of clean water one of his cardinal programmes was not by accident but part of efforts to improve the lots of the people in the state.
He added that the availability of drinkable water to every nook and cranny of the state would further reduce mortality and morbidity rates in the area.
In his remarks, at the event, the National President of the Association of Waterwell Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP) and the Convener, Water-Tech Nigeria, Engr. Michael Ale said that the workshop was organized to create a sustainable connection among stakeholders in the sector including water supply professionals, practitioners and expatriates towards water quality management.
He noted that the workshop tagged: Synergetic Approach of Stakeholders towards water quality management would as well enlighten the general public on the need to imbibe right culture toward water quality control and control management.
