The Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Information and Civic Orientation, Mr. Lanre Ogunsuyi has said that the Fayose administration was committed to the proper dissemination of information and would shun all form of propaganda.
Addressing staff of the state Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation during his inaugural meeting with the workers, Ogunsuyi solicited the cooperation of the workforce in order to achieve the desired objective.
Ogunsuyi who reiterated the commitment of the new regime to the general well being of workers in the state, however stressed the need for public officials to be loyal to the administration in order to properly implement its policies and enable an effective delivery on all the governor’s campaign promises to the people of the state.
He expressed confidence in the efficiency and effectiveness of the state workforce, emphasizing that they must nevertheless refrain from rumour mongering and backbiting towards ensuring a smooth working relationship.
Ogunsuyi appealed for understanding of the people, noting that the new administration was taking off with initial financial hardship created by the debt of over N80billion inherited from the immediate past administration.
Describing Fayose’s victory at the polls as an act of God, the Governor’s aide prayed that God who made it possible for the Governor to weather the political storm to get into office would definitely provide the wherewithal for him to succeed.
