The hallmarks of your life are your persistent hunt for talents, the nurturing of human assets for development, political astuteness, courage, tolerance, magnanimity, large heartedness, and trust in your Creator.
As the arrowhead of the progressive forces, you successfully mobilised other credible leaders to break the jinx and spearheaded the historic struggle that heralded the enthronement of a progressive government at the centre.
As a democrat, advocate of the rule of law, apostle of good governance, and an exponent of socio-economic and political reforms, you have also made manifold contributions to the development of ingredients and core values required for the strengthening and consolidation of the democratic order.
Indeed, your leadership by example, political sacrifice, problem-solving skills, and sense of accommodation have placed you in the vantage position of a party reconciliator, stabiliser and statesman.
Your vision, experience, exposure, deep understanding, incisive wit, patriotism, resourcefulness, foresight, and unique style of leadership mark you out as a colossus.
