HEADIES 2014: Who Goes Home With Top Prize?

The music awards has finally berths today (Sunday). Arguably the biggest music awards in Nigeria, HEADIES, formerly known in years past as HipHop Awards, brings all the razzmatazz and energy known with the music industry.  SAMUEL ABULUDE, writes.

In the year in review between July 2013 – June 2014, twenty awards are up for grabs and a life time achievement award will be bestowed on Sir Victor Uwaifo. The Album Of the Year will be contested by Sean Tizzle’sThe Journey, Burnaboy’s L.I.F.E, Olamide’s Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, Phyno’s No Guts No Glory. For The Artiste of the Year, the competition is tougher. With seven artistes slugging it out, the award category throws up the artiste who is the most critically and commercially adjudged artiste in the year under review and overall most successful artiste for the same period. They nominees are Davido, Wizkid, Kcee, Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Phyno, Flavour.
