The First Lady of Ogun, Mrs Olufunso Amosun; popular film producer and director, Tunde Kelani; and Fuji music king, Wasiu Ayinde Anifowose, popularly called K1 the Ultimate, were among many people named UN-SDG Ambassadors by the Ogun State chapter of the Civil Society Coalition on Sustainable Development, (CSCSD) at the International Stakeholders’ Conference on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event which took place at the Cultural Centre Kuto, Abeokuta, on Tuesday, 6th March, 2018, had many important dignitaries in attendance including the Governor of the State, Senator Ibikunle Amosu and his wife.
The Ambassadors were honoured for their contributions to humanity as contained in their various citations read at the ceremony.
On hand to present the awards and certificates, was the number one citizen of the rocky state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, who extolled the virtues of the honourees saying that they deserve the honour for their contributions to the development and growth of the society.
The Civil Society Coalition hasover 150 registered civil society and non-governmental organizations under its fold in Nigeria and it is affiliated with the United Nations.
