The essence of charity is for the servant to recount the blessings of his Lord, and to render thanks unto Him at all times and under all conditions, while the beginning of magnanimity is when man expends his wealth on himself, on his family and on the poor among his brethren in his Faith.
Popular man of God, Apostle Johnson Suleman, exploited these graces as he added a year to his age penultimate Saturday, marking the occasion in colourful ways with hands of gesture extended to the less endowed in the society.
Apostle Suleman, the General Overseer of the Auchi, Edo State-based Omega Fire Ministry, used the opportunity of his latest birthday to further share the blessings among the less endowed in the society has continued to be the subject two three weeks after the well-attended event.
Apostle Suleman, who is noted for precise prophecies on state of the nation, is the prphet who foresaw and warned before the rescheduled February 14th 2015 Nigeria’s presidential election that ‘we didn’t see any election coming up on that date”. That prophecy came and passed. Now, before the March 28th 2015, he also said that “we were only praying that the counsel of God come to pass. Before the March 28 election, we kept seeing the revelation of the uniform men. We kept seeing uniform men on the radar. And you can tell what that implies. I told President Goodluck Jonathan to his face after hearing from God that he should go home and rest. I warned him that if he knew what was good for him, he should just go back to the village and have a deserved rest. I said, Mr. President, this is not about winning the election but about the level of the bloodshed that I see coming after the March 28 election if you continue in power”.
During the birthday celebrations, Apostle Suleman pushed further his practical demonstration of benevolence when he gave out five brand new state-of-the-art cars to members of the public. The cars include Lexus Jeep, Honda CRV, Toyota Camry 2.4, Toyota Corolla and Volkswagen Passat. Also, he gave three brand new motor cycles to others while he constructed and commissioned a bore hole for the use of his Afobomeh family clan in Auchi. To cap the grace, Apostle Suleman placed people from his clan and outside on scholarship of various discipline as well as empowering many others for entrepreneurial practices with the help of his beloved wife, Dr. Lizzy Suleman, who he confessed remained a strong pillar in his life.
What really sets Apostle Suleman apart from others is his fair demonstration of the Words and being thankful of people’s endorsement. “You need to understand that prophecies don’t generate crisis. They only inform you of what is ahead. A lot of people feel that prophetic statements are being given to heat the polity, but this is not so. Prophecy is a guide. Only a wise man who hears about the future and hears about an impending doom knows how to line up his life so that what was foreseeing doesn’t catch up with him”.
So, how does he take it when he gets hostile reactions to his prophecies? “Every true Prophet is misunderstood and confronted. Major Prophets are not always friendly with any system. Not because they don’t want to be friendly but because it takes a system that is sincere to befriend true Prophets. True Prophets always see things the way they are; their conscience will prick them if they say otherwise. And I’ve had to face challenges too. People misread me often. I think the only challenge I have really faced is, when people you trusted choose to backstab you. Every other thing, I feel, normally comes with running a ministry. And they don’t hit me below the belt because I know people have been through them before me”, says Suleman, who is from a Muslim background but got converted to Christian on the Christmas Eve of 1989 after a dream allure.
