IBEDC’s Collection Agent Shot Dead As Robbers Storm Ibadan Office

Tragedy struck at Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) when daredevil armed robbers stormed its Business Hub at Monatan, Ibadan killing its collection agent. 
The Gazelle News.com learnt that the incident took place on Friday, 31 January, 2020 at IBEDC office in Monatan in the Oyo State capital. 
The Gazelle News.com can also confirmed that seven other people were critically injured in the incident. 
Fatai Subair, a supervisor of one of IBEDC’s collection agents in Monatan was shot several times by the masked robbers while going about his normal duties died on his way to the hospital. 
Reacting to the tragic incident, the IBEDC management expressed sadness while commiserating with the family of the deceased.
“We are extremely saddened by this tragic event. We commiserate with the Subair family while we pray for the peaceful repose of Fatai. We are also assuring that the injured staff are being taken care of,” the statement from the management said. 
The management also assured its customers that security has been beefed around its offices to ensure safety of staff and customers while admonishing all to be security conscious at all times. 
“The incident has been  reported to the law enforcement agencies and investigations have commenced to bring the criminals to justice,” the statement said.
