In line with the present police administration’s strategy of boosting the morale of police officers through rewarding merit and excellence in law enforcement and other mandates of the Force, the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammad Dikko Abubakar on Tuesday, 24th June, 2014, decorated some newly promoted senior police officers.
The event took place at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Of special interest is the decoration of Assistant Inspector General of Police Grace Chita Okudo; Commissioner of Police Elias Okafor Wayemeru; Commissioner of Police Henry Adebayo Fadairo and Assistant Commissioner of Police Yusuf Chiromawa Usman.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Frank Mba is also one of the Officers decorated by the IGP. It would be recalled that the police high command recently promoted over 210 senior police officers.
While congratulating the newly promoted officers, the IGP emphasized the need for greater commitment to the current fight against terrorism and all forms of crimes and criminality. He charged the officers to justify their elevation by rededicating themselves to their core mandate and the advancement of the positive image of the Force.
