The Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, and spokesperson of the Senate, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, has pledged his commitment to the success of the State of Osun under the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and to the unity and cohesiveness of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Basiru, in a reaction to insinuations about his involvement in bickering triangle, insisted that he has not acted in any way to factionalise the Party but that he has continued to show respect to all his leaders.
Basiru stated: “My attention has been drawn severally to a post by one irresponsible anti party element falsely claiming I made disparaging remarks about my Leader, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in favour of another Leader of mine, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.
“I have also read some other disparaging comments against me from elements committed apparently to drawing me to the mindless attempt at factionalisation of our great party.
“I say here unequivocally that Baba Bisi Akande, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola and Governor Gboyega Oyetola are my leaders and I do not have problem with any of them in regards to my relationship with them personally and politically.
“It is preposterous that some people think that formenting trouble is the way up politically.
“I am committed to the unity and cohesiveness of our party, the success of our state administration under Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the success of my representation of Osun Central Senatorial District”, Basiru stated.
