The Executive Chairman of Isolo Local Government Development Area, LCDA Hon. Shamsideen Abiodun Olaleye has tasked revenue officers of the council to improve on their performance in generating revenue to the council.
Hon. Olaleye made this known when he had a meeting for the first time with staff of revenue department of the council recently at the council premises.
The council boss said his administration is committed to better the lives of people if the revenue officers generate enough fund into the council’s purse adding that if revenue officers don’t remit enough revenue into the council, it would be difficult for the council to touch the lives of the people.
“We appreciate your effort in discharging your duties to the council and I want all the revenue officers to improve on your performance. Don’t forget that you have a target and I want you to meet your target so that we can meet demands of our people residing in Isolo LCDA. I want to use this opportunity to assure the revenue officers that I am going to give you necessary support in order to meet your target,” he said.
Hon. Olaleye recalled with excitement how the revenue profile of the council was raised a moderate N65million to an all-time high of N167million during his first time in office. However, a combination of reasons has since seen the revenue profile fell abysmally.
