The Chairman of Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Olajide Jimoh, has reiterated the need for more healthcare centres to be created in the states.
Jimoh stated this when he visited the ongoing construction of healthcare centre at Abule-Oja on Tuesday, 22nd April, 2014.
According to him, “The responsibility of every government is to protect lives by paying attention to small health problems that can become big if not taken care of by the doctors.
“We took it as a point of duty in line with our policy plan to construct primary health centre in this community for every residents to get free healthcare services”.
He told journalists that his administration is keen to improve healthcare delivery in the council area with necessary modern facilities as well as providing them with drugs in order to bring health services to the door steps of the people.
“Residents of Abule-Oja will soon enjoy health quality service delivery with the newly constructed Obadina Primary Health Centre,” the Yaba LCDA boss assured.
He promised that the council will ensure the completion of the project for the benefits of the people.
It would be recalled that the council recently launched free ambulance in case of emergency among other things.
