In a bid to fast-track community development, enhance peace and unity in Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency, Hon. Jide Jimoh has flagged off the reconstruction of Oko Baba playing field in Lagos Mainland Local Government, reports The Gazelle News.com.
Jimoh, representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, facilitated the project to promote grassroots soccer and community engagement.
The facility was officially handed over to the contractor on Sunday after thorough assessment and would be done by SDGs Presidency.
The Lawmaker, who is also a sports lover, stated recently that the reconstruction of the Oko Baba football pitch would complement the efforts of the Lagos State government on sporting activities as well as rekindle the love for local football that is synonymous with the stadium and Lagos Mainland.
Recall that the lawmaker representing Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency has facilitated the construction of three blocks of classrooms at Iponri Primary School, and motorized borehole with 10,000 liters capacity overhead tank at Ilaje-Otumara community which has been completed.
