Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday returned to Nigeria.
This was after embarking on a long trip to the United Kingdom and Cote d’Ivoire.
The trip was estimated to have lasted about one month.
Reports have it that Jonathan came into Nigeria through the Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers State on Wednesday evening.
He immediately headed to his country home in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, arriving at about 9pm.
Following his long stay outside the country, a national newspaper had reported that Jonathan was on exile in Cote d’Ivoire.
He was said to have been given asylum in the country following fears of his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission if he returns to the country.
Jonathan however dispelled the report, saying he was not on exile.
