The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria has surpassed the 5000 mark, The Gazelle News.com reports.
On Thursday, 14 May, 2020, 193 new cases were reported nationwide by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on its official Twitter handle bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 5162.
In the figure released on Thursday, Lagos continues to be the epicentre with 58 cases reported, Kano has 48, Jigawa 35, Yobe 12, FCT 9, Ogun 7, Plateau and Gombe 5 each, Imo 4, Edo, Kwara and Borno 3 each, Bauchi, Nasarawa and Ondo 1 each.
