Former Super Eagles player, Barnabas Imenger is dead, reports The Gazelle News.com.
Imenger died on Monday, 22 March, 2021 at the National Hospital, Abuja after a protracted illness.
His death was confirmed by the Media Officer of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi, Austin Tyowua. Imenger was the Team Manager of Lobi Stars until his death on Monday.
The Gazelle News.com learnt that Imenger has been placed on life support at the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi before being referred to the National Hospital in Abuja.
As at the time of writing this report, the nature of his illness is unknown.
He died barely a month after another former Super Eagles player, Yisa Sofoluwe died in Lagos.
Imenger had a brief playing time with the Super Eagles but was a member of the team to the 1995 Confederation Cup in Saudi Arabia.
