Apapa Local Government Area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, has joined the list of donors to the re-election of Dr Kayode Fayemi as governor of Ekiti State.

The local government at the weekend, donated hundreds of branded T-shirts to the John Kayode Fayemi (FKF) Campaign Organisation in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

House of Representative member, Mr. Bimbo Daramola, who doubles as the Director-General of the organization, took delivery of the sacks of the shirts from the Secretary of the Apapa council area, Mr. Oluwole Adele.

Adele said he was making the donation on behalf of his chairman, and the people of Apapa, who he noted, identify with the performance of Governor Fayemi  in Ekiti State since he took the saddle more than three years ago.

According to him, the Lagos council made a similar contribution in the run up to the 2007 governorship election when Fayemi first took a shot at the governorship position.

“On behalf of the chairman and the people of Apapa Local Government, we are making this donation to the reelection of Governor John Kayode Fayemi for continuity to the glory of God and for humanity”, he said, adding that the governor has lived up to his words.

Responding, Daramola described as encouraging that such contribution was coming from a council in Lagos, a state bonded with Ekiti in terms of performance and service delivery to the citizenry.

According to the campaign chief, Fayemi, who he described as his candidate would not only be impressed by the materials but encouraged to keep the flag of performance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governments flying in Ekiti State.
