Tokunbo Abiru, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded Lagos East Senatorial District bye-election has won in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area and Ijede Local Council Development Area, reports The Gazelle News.com.
In the Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Abiru polled a total of 3,858 votes against 612 polled by his main rival, Babatunde Gbadamosi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In Ijede LCDA, Abiru scored 1,327 votes while Gbadamosi scored a meagre 85 votes.
Abiru won in all the polling units in both councils.
