The House of Representatives member for Ikeja Federal Constituency, Honourable James Abiodun Faleke has assured members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his constituency and the Lagos State at large that the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu does not have any annointed candidate among aspirants contesting for Chairmanship and Councillorship seats in coming council elections in the state.
Hon Faleke made this clarification against the backdrop of rumours flying round that the Governor has compiled names of his annointed candidates for the Chairmanship and Councillorship seats in the state.
Debunking the rumours, Hon Faleke said Sanwo-Olu is the Governor for all and has no special or annointed candidate among the aspirants.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Finance advised party members to disregard those dropping the name of the Governor to achieve their diabolic aims, describing the Governor as a democrat
“The leadership of the party in the state had told all that we will be going for primaries.
I advise all to go about their ambitions in very peaceful manner as Ikeja is not known for violence,” Faleke said.
