Premier League leaders, Liverpool, defeated Blackburn Rovers 6-0 at Anfield.
The match which was played behind-closed-doors on Thursday as teams get prepared for the restart of the premier league, saw Liverpool dismantling the defence of their opponents at ease.
Goals from Sadio Mane, Keita, Minamino, Matip, Hoever and Clarksongave gave the reds a comfortable victory in the game.
Sadio Mane gave Liverpool an early lead when he perfectly executed a finish from close range after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s shot was saved and Naby Keita increased the goal tally after when he met Takumi Minamino’s ball into the box before the latter made it three with a neat finish just before the break.
Joel Matip was responsible for the fourth while Ki-Jana Hoever netted the fifth moments later and Leighton Clarkson ended the tally with the sixth goal.
THEWILL reports that Liverpool will return to action on June 21aginst Everton they are just two wins away from being crowned Premier League champions.
