A man is facing trial for allegedly defiling three sisters, whose ages range from 8 and 10 years.
According to report, the accused, named Isyaku Abubakar, lured the sisters into the sexual act that took place in his shop.
The lid was blown off Abubakar’s deed following report from the girls’ fathers to the police.
During his arraignment before a Magistrate in Kano, Pogu Lale, an inspector and police prosecutor, said the incident happened at Dorayi Karama Quarters, Kano.
Lale says the alleged offence contravened Section 283 of the Penal Code, while mentioning the complainants as Gambo Abubakar, Muhammad Abdullahi, and Abdullahi Nuhu, all of Dorayi Karama Quarters, Kano.
After listening to the prosecutor, Chief Magistrate, Jubril Muhammed declined to take the defendant’s plea while issuing an order of remand. The magistrate cited lack of jurisdiction
The case file was to be returned to the Kano State Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
Jibril adjourned the case until Nov. 21, for further mention.
