Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen is a more valuable and expensive player than Cristiano Ronaldo, reports The Gazelle News.com.
This was the verdict of CIES Football Observatory which carried out an analysis on the most valuable players across the five major leagues in Europe.
According to the result released by the organisation, the Lille forward was valued £57.3 million higher than Cristiano Ronald’s value put at £56 million. Osimhen was even valued more than established stars like: Raphael Varane, £56.7 million; Alvaro Morata, £47.8 million; and Jan Oblak, £47million.
At £57.3 million, Osimhen displaced Wilfred Ndidi as Nigeria’s most valuable player but came fourth in Africa behind: Achraf Hakimi, £70.4 million; Sadio Mane, £124.1 million; and Mohammed Sallah, £129.2 million.
Sallah is the most valuable player in Africa and sixth on the table followed by Mane in seventh place.
Lionel Messi was in a distant 22 place while Ronaldo was not even in the top 50.
