The father of the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of The Gazelle News, Musbau Rasak, died in the early hours of Friday, 9th May, 2014 after a brief illness. The deceased, Alhaji Abdur Rasak Alabi Raji, was 83 years old.
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) commiserates with Mr. Musbau Rasak and the entire members of the Rasak family. We pray that Almighty Allah will forgive their father and grant him Aljannah firdaus.
We also pray that Allah will strengthen the members of the family to withstand the shock of their father’s demise as well as quickly fill the vacuum created by the loss.
In particular, we share the pain of Mr. Musbau Rasak, a seasoned, committed and diligent journalist.  We urge him to accept the death of his father as inevitable and to forge ahead to give Nigerians his characteristically purposeful service in journalism.
