A couple on Thursday, February 18, 2016 displayed a mild drama at a Customary Court sitting at Oja-Oba, Palace Square in Osogbo, Osun state over a divorce suit filed by the husband, Mr Kolapo Saheed seeking to disown his wife, Rofiat.
While Kolapo insisted that the one year old marriage be dissolved over allegations bothering on lack of respect by his wife, Rofiat was hell-bent on keeping her marriage.
Kolapo accused Rofiat of disrespecting him and other members of his family adding that she does not give him rest of mind.
He stated that Rofiat is very troublesome and that he could no longer bear his nagging attitudes.
But Rofiat dazzled those present in court while making her defence. She denied the accusations made by her husband claiming that since they lost their first child, her in-laws have been maltreating her.
She said she was not a party to the divorce thus begging the court prevail on her husband against dissolving the marriage.
Those who were present in court could not hold their laughter when Rofiat pleaded with the court shouting: “I cannot not leave him o.”
As a result of this, the President of the court, G.O. Oparanti adjourned the case to Thursday, February 25, 2016.
