Osun state police command has began investigations to unravel the cause of the death of a married woman based in Lagos State who died in her concubine’s residence in Osogbo, capital of Osun state.
The married woman simply identified as Damilola was said to be around 25 years of age.
Our correspondent gathered that Damilola have had a misunderstanding with her husband and left Lagos for Oye Ekiti where her in-laws reside.
Further investigation by our correspondent revealed that the young woman, after spending some days with her in-laws, left and travelled to her mother at Ifaki Ekiti where she also spent some days.
While staying with her mum at Ifaki Ekiti, the deceased was said to have told her mother that she was going to Osogbo to attend a wedding ceremony of one of her friends.
The married woman instead of attending the said wedding on getting to Osogbo went to stay with one of her lovers after spending some days there she left and went to spend some days with another lover in the same town.
Damilola was said to have started complaining of stomach ache and she eventually died at a private hospital where she was taken to for treatment.
A source at the Criminal Investigation Department told our correspondent that relations of the deceased travelled down to Osogbo on Thursday to identify her remains.
The source said that police insisted that an autopsy must be carried out on the corpse to ascertain the cause of her death.
The Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Mr. Kola Sodipo, confirmed the death and said the police were working to know the cause.
