The Nigerian music is bereaved! One of its greatest icon is gone.

The music legend and reggae king, Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known and called Majek Fashek, is dead.
His manager, Omenka Uzoma, confirmed his death via the legend’s official Instagram handle.
The Gazelle News.com learnt that Majek Fahsek died in a hospital in New York on Monday, 1 June, 2020. He has been sick for a long period before his finally died on Monday.



“Today been having pressure calls, well it is true that the African No 1 Legendary ICON has gone to be with the LORD his Maker,” Uzoma wrote on the late singer’s official Instagram handle.
“Let celebrate him, his achievements, and his family, whatever decisions made by his immediate family will be notified.”
Until his death, Fashek was one of Nigeria’s surviving Reggae music legend, Majek attracted international attention in 1987, with his self-penned tune, ‘Send down the Rain.’
