A member of the House of Representatives representing Ogun Waterside/Ijebu East and Ijebu North Federal Constituency, Honourable Abdul Majeed Segun Adekoya, has said assured Nigerians that the Ntional Assembly will not clear any nominee who has been indicted for any federal appointment.
Speaking with our correspondent at the palace of the paramount ruler of Ijebu Land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona during the weekend, Adekoya noted that no corrupt nominee sent to the National Assembly for clearance will be cleared for appointment.
He said as a Muslim chief, he supported a Christian from the northern part of the country, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara to emerge the Speaker of the House of Representatives because he is convinced that he is not corrupt and he has good plans for the country.
According to him, members of the National Assembly are ready to give Nigerians good governance and as such will do all possible to ensure only credible nominees are supported and cleared for federal appointments.
