The news of the death Chief Enock Kolapomoye Ajiboso came to me as a shock and I’m still in shock.
This was a man bubbling with energy and enthusiasm the last time we spoke.
He was hale and hearty even at the meeting where he eventually died. His death, thus, was a knockout blow for me.
Baba Aji, as we fondly called, had played his part. He was the first man to be elected twice as Chairman of Agege Local Government and he can be described as the architect of modern Agege. He laid the foundation for the development and growth of the local government.
Ajiboso was a man of peace, a man full of wisdom. A witty man, he cracked jokes easily and always see dialogue as panacea for peaceful resolution of conflicts.
His death has created a big void, certainly not at this time that his wisdom, knowledge and experience are needed.
We will all miss him but will continue to cherish his achievements while alive.
It is a big loss to us all and I pray that God gives him a peaceful rest in His bossom.
Chief Enock Kolapomoye Ajiboso, may you find peace with your Creator.
Rest in perfect peace.
