The authorities of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile – Ife, has announced new dates for the commencement of the 2014 / 2015 academic session for newly admitted students and the returning undergraduates.
A release by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Wednesday, 29th April, 2015 stated that the new students would come into residence on Sunday, 17th May, 2015 while the returning undergraduates come into residence on Sunday, 31st May, 2015.
It would be recalled that the university management had announced Sundays, May 3rd and 11th as resumption days for freshmen and returning students respectively before the change.
Meanwhile, the release stated that the University administration had concluded all arrangement and put necessary facilities in place for the lectures of the Harmattan Semester which starts on Monday, 1st June, 2015.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bamitale Omole, enjoined students to make judicious use of their time and shun any act or behaviour that may unduly prolong the timeframe of the new session.
He, therefore, wished all students journey mercies as they return to the campus for the new academic session.
