Obaji To Represent Nigeria At UN Programme For Young Leaders

1 GAME Founder, Philip Obaji has been chosen to represent Nigeria at the 2014 United Nations Alliance of Civilization – Education First (UNAOC-EF) Summer School program taking place in New York from August 16-23.

The week-long program brings together 75 youths from across the globe, to address pressing global challenges, within the context of cultural and religious diversity.
Obaji said: “It’s a great honour to picked for this programme. It’s an even greater responsibility representing Nigeria.”

He added further that: “As someone who has conveyed governments, businesses, non-profits, Christians, and Muslims to improve access to quality education across Nigeria’s six geo-political regions, I’ll be hoping that my contributions will help to enhance global citizenship.”

The highly interactive programme will immerse participants in the essentials of global citizenship. Seminars, workshops, and roundtable discussions will challenge participants and increase their impact as leaders in their fields.

Formed in 2005 by former Secretary General Kofi Annan, the UN Alliance of Civilizations’ (UNAOC) mission is to improve cross-cultural understanding and cooperation among countries, peoples and communities.

Education First (EF) was founded in 1965 with the mission to break down the barriers of language, culture and geography that divide us. Now the world’s largest private education company, EF offers programs centered around language learning, travel, and cultural exchange.
