With the decision of the Chairman of the House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee, Honourable Solomon Adeola Olamilekan to run for a seat in the Senate to represent Lagos West Senatorial District, the odds now favour ex-Chairman of Mosan-Okunola Local Development Area (LCDA), Alhaji Abdur Rasheed Abiodun Mafe to pick the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Alimoso Federal Constituency.
Already, the two time Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA has declared his intention to run for the seat and his aspiration has been receiving loud shouts of approval and support from prominent politicians and party elders in the Alimoso Federal Constituency.
The former Chairman has been one of the best performing chairmen in the state during his two term tenure especially in the area of health care delivery and services.
Mafe has a rich wealth of experience going for him. Prior to his tenure as chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Mafe had served meritoriously as chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC) of the old Alimoso Local Government before it was split into a local government and five LCDAs.
At the creation of Mosan-Okunola LCDA in 2003, Mafe served as the Vice Chairman to Chief Abel Olu Badejo, pioneer elected chairman of the LCDA and his loyalty, intelligence and commitment to duty made him the natural choice when the old man decided not to run for a second term in office.
The general belief in Alimoso Federal Constituency is that Mafe possessed the needed qualities to give the constituency a good and robust representation building on the achievements of the present occupier of the seat, Solomon Olamilekan.
